Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan have Prithviraj Sukumaran's support, saying, "It's awful that an art form needs to be put through such observations."

Shah Rukh Khan and his movie Pathaan have been the subject of scrutiny ever since the song "Besharam Rang" went viral for allegedly hurting the feelings of particular groups.

Right-wing organisations have levelled numerous accusations against the movie and the song about the dancing, closeness moments, and clothing choices.

Prithviraj Sukumaran, a Malayalam actor-director who has also worked on some Bollywood productions, has spoken out in favour of the movie and voiced his displeasure with how creative forms are subjected to such petty remarks and criticisms amid all the commotion.

Prithviraj Sukumaran discussed the "sad" condition of events where art forms become a victim of such beliefs during a press conference promoting his movie Kappa in Kochi. He stated, "It's tragic that an art form needs to be put through such analyses and points of view as an artists," according to OTTPlay.

Readers might remember that Prithviraj expressed nothing but admiration for the Pathaan starring Shah Rukh Khan during a Roundtable discussion with Film Companion. According to the actor-director, "There have been recent instances when we've set down the table and wondered, "How are they doing it? How is Hindi film making headway in this? How are they able to access such big international markets? That happened not too decades back. I'm not referring to the Middle Ages. So, I genuinely think that this is a phase. One major hit will come, perhaps Pathaan.

Siddharth Anand is the director of the movie Pathaan, which stars Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone as the leads and John Abraham as the villain. The movie, is Under Banner by Yash Raj Films, will release on January 25 in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.
